The Script on http://www.indesign-faq.de/en/images_by_contextmenu is rather useful to create freely designed contact sheets. With enough images to fill more than one page it is not quite up to the task. That‘s what fillGraphicFramesByLayer is for.
Open the Script-Panel, right-click on „User“ and open in Finder/Explorer. Place the script file in this folder. Start the script by doubleclicking in the Script-Panel.
The Script assumes all frames to be on the same layer and asks for it. Frames on other layers are ignored. Any textframes and non-assignes objects are ignored, too, no matter which layer they’re on.
If you turn off „Only empty Frames“ you can re-fill a finished contact sheet. Otherwise a frame has to be empty to be filled.
„Incude Frames on Master“ allows you to layout the frames on the master page and start with a document with empty pages (but for the master page frames). The script will not insert pages by itself.
If you have any object selected the script will start with that page else with page 1. The uppermost frames are filled first.
Öffnen Sie die Script-Palette und klicken mit rechts auf „Benutzer“. Wählen Sie „Im Finder/Explorer anzeigen“ aus. Legen Sie die Script-Datei in diesen Ordner bzw. in einen Unterordner.
